Lulu – Belted Galloway Cow

(3 years old)

Lulu was headed to slaughter after contracting mastitis, she comes to Monkey’s Place from Michigan after a very generous woman saved her life. She’s still a little skittish but we’re working on harness training. Lulu is very social and likes to visit the cows next door!

 

Cheech – Mini-Donkey

(10 years old)

Cheech was one of our first sanctuary animals at Monkey’s Place. Unfortunately, his  brother, Chong passed in early 2018, but other sanctuary resident alpacas and horses keep him plenty of company.

 

Rocky – Huacuya Alpaca

(10 years old)

Rocky arrived with his brother Elmo at the same time as Cheech and Chong. Elmo has since passed, but Rocky is social with newer alpaca residents as well as the occasional dog visitor to his fence. He likes fresh alfalfa and giving nose kisses.

 

Duke & Daisy – Labrador Mix Dogs (Bonded)

(9 years old)

Duke and Daisy came to Monkey’s Place because their family was splitting up in 2015 and they were in danger of being euthanized at just 6 years old. Duke has anxiety around strangers and Daisy refuses to leave his side, so this bonded pair will live their lives out on the farm.
